2 years and no movement....
I am sure many of you can see from my blog that I have not been blogging in a LONG time. There are a few reasons that contribute to that dilemma and here they are:
1. Rwanda has been frozen or barely moving since September 2010...the country stopped taking any new dossiers and all the rest of us are frozen in the process. We have no idea when or if it will re-open. 2. I was offered a principal position at a title one school in one of the poorest areas in Austin. Exactly where I wanted to be but being a principal was the furthest thing from my mind! I LOVE what I am doing. I still find ways to get into the classroom but I also get to help train an amazing staff! It has been a year of learning for me but good!
So, here we are February 2012 and still waiting on answers. Life has calmed down and so its time to do something new... ummm like a concurrent adoption with Ethiopia! We are going to start doing all the paperwork for Ethiopia in this next month and hopefully get both dossiers up and going by early summer. From that point we will wait and see what God has in store for us. We don't know if it will be just one of the countries or both, but we do our best to keep things moving! We love AFRICA and no matter what, we know that we have a child waiting to choose us and we cannot wait to find out all the details! We never new international adoptions were this crazy but one day we will know all the answers to this craziness!
